Fort Worth, TX — A small child was injured and rushed to a hospital in a Fort Worth neighborhood this past Tuesday afternoon (June 16, 2015) after being hit by a car. The accident happened along Freddie Street, which is near U.S. 287 & Willbarger in Fort Worth.
According to the very limited reports being released right now, a 3-year old boy was playing along Freddie Street yesterday afternoon, in his front yard. As he was playing, a toy went into the street.
As the child went to retrieve it, a passing black Chevy Impala fled the scene. Witnesses said that he was a black male and appeared to stop right after hitting the boy, but then paused and drove away.
The police in Fort Worth are still investigating.
The child, however, is in good condition and was not seriously injured at the last update.

Commentary:
In my experience, accidents with hit-and-run drivers often involve someone who was either: A) too frightened or nervous to understand what was going on or, B) trying to hide something. I won’t pretend to have any special knowledge of what happened here, but I can say that this driver certainly didn’t make things look any better for him when he decided to drive away from the scene of the accident.
