Commentary:
Now, considering guardrails are supposed to make accidents less severe, and protect motorists, I really don’t think safeguarding structures should impale vehicles loaded with people. I’ve seen a lot of situations where guardrails, and things that are designed for safety actually made things much, much worse. If this accident was made significantly worse by the presence of this guardrail, and just judging from the accident photos, I’d say it was, then the manufacturer of these rails could be liable for the accident depending on how the facts finalize in the investigation.
